There are five byelections on June 28 – Super Saturday, with elections in Western Australia, South Australia, Tasmania and Queensland. We suggest this is a good litmus test for how the Federal Government is traveling. But will there be a change in any of the seats? We don’t think so: situation unchanged, and all seats will return to the fold.

A Clash Of Western Civilisation

The Ramsey Centre for Western Civilisation wants to create a course in Western Civilisation at the Australian National University, but is this about really wanting to create a course, or trying to expand the influence of conservative players within higher education? ANU has rejected the course, and we share the sentiments.

The ABC Of Attacking The Public Broadcaster

The old punching-bag of conservatives, the ABC, is in the firing line. The Liberals want to privatise the ABC – yes, their Council voted for this – yet, federal cabinet is denying this to be the case. But who said “no cuts to the ABC”, just before he cut $254 million from their budget? Yes, former Liberal Prime Minister, Tony Abbott. Can the Liberals be trusted with the ABC? No, we don’t think so.
